CHICAGO – Advanced procedures such as suturing and cryosurgery will define a successful optometric practice in the future, Rich Castillo, OD, DO, said at Optometry’s Meeting.

All optometrists should also be involved in cancer screening of the eyelids, he said.

“We can do our patients and communities a huge service if we attend to that as part of our routine eye care practice,” Castillo said.
